Data Storage Software
Open-E®, Inc is a leading provider of unified file and block storage management software solutions.
The Open-E Data Storage Software (DSS V6) offers support for Network Attached Storage (NAS), iSCSI, InfiniBand and Fibre Channel SAN (Storage Area Network) functionality
all in a single, easy to use storage application. Open-E DSS also provides Automatic iSCSI Failover and Failback for high-availability, Remote Volume Mirroring and Asynchronous Data Replication for disaster recovery,
WORM (Write Once Read Many) support for digital archiving, and NDMP (Network Data Management Protocol) support for universal backup - ensuring better data security, increased fault tolerance,
and improved availability of all data, ultimately delivering better overall performance and value.
Open-E delivers automatic NAS (NFS) failover, based on two nodes of active-passive configuration. You can buy it as a DSS V6 extension called
Feature Pack - NAS (NFS) Failover.Open-E DSS V6 provides fault tolerance via synchronous NAS Volume Replication for NFS shares. Once configured, all data written to the primary server is mirrored
to a secondary server. In the event the primary server fails, Open-E DSS V6 automatically switches operation to the secondary server. NFS locks are also reassigned on the secondary server after primary server fails.
This functionality is implemented in the new Feature Pack, and requires two existing Open-E DSS V6 installations.

Ace is very excited to announce the launch of our Ace Certified Solution Providers program, and the first focus area is Open-E DSS V6. The first solution provider
to achieve certification in the program is South Jersey Technology Partnership, located in Somerdale, NJ. SJTP has already installed Open-E DSS V6 SAN solutions in four customer locations in 2011
using Qlogic iSCSI or FC HBAs, and one of the locations has been implemented in a DR (Primary/Backup) configuration. Congratulations to SJTP!
